Set along Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, this interior design commission reimagines an existing residential home as a place of retreat, warmth and quiet immersion in the coastal landscape.
The project responds to the shifting character of its setting. A home that can close itself against wild weather, becoming intimate, grounded and protective, while opening generously to light, horizon and sea air when the sun returns. The interiors are shaped through a considered palette of natural materials, layered textures and sculptural furniture, creating spaces that feel calm, tactile and deeply connected to the rhythms of the coast.
Conceived as both refuge and outlook, the design seeks to balance shelter with openness, a coastal interior that holds the drama of the Great Ocean Road while offering a quiet place to pause within it.
